Pareto 20, No. 2: Ryan Doser, for getting found when buyers ask an AI instead of Google

He fetched 22 tool roundups and found the vendors ranking themselves first. Then he told you which of the seven tools he had not used. That combination is why he is here.
Seat 2 on The Pareto 20 is Ryan Doser, and it covers the newest job on a small business's list: showing up when a buyer asks ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI who to hire.
Who he is
Doser is an AI-first marketing consultant in Des Moines, Iowa, who describes running a solo agency on the same systems he teaches. He has been self-employed since 2019 after a decade in paid media. His site launched in February 2026 and now publishes several times a week, alongside a YouTube channel of tutorials and a weekly email. The velocity is high and he is open that much of it is produced with the AI systems he sells, so read him for the research pieces rather than the volume.
What to read him for
The roundup audit. 7 Best AI Visibility Tools in 2026 (September 1, 2026) opens by checking who wrote the other rankings. He fetched 22 roundups. Of the sources Perplexity cited when asked to rank the category, fourteen were written by companies selling a tool in it; all fourteen placed themselves in their own top three and thirteen placed themselves first. "Not one vendor-published roundup ranked itself below third." He threw those out and ranked from the seven publishers with nothing to sell.
A reviewer who says what he has not tested. In the same piece: "Of the seven tools here, I have used exactly one." He names it (Rankability), says it gave him free access and pays him a commission, and excludes his own product from the list entirely. Most roundups hide all three facts. He leads with them.
Why every visibility dashboard is a sample. He asked Perplexity the same question twice a few minutes apart and got thirteen tools, then ten, with nine in common. His conclusion, that these tools sample your visibility rather than measure it, is the most useful sentence a small business can read before paying $29 to $300 a month for a tracker.
Where to start for free. Before any purchase, he sends you to Google Search Console's generative AI report and Bing Webmaster Tools, which already count AI citations at no cost, and suggests running your ten most important buyer prompts yourself and keeping the answers in a spreadsheet.

What he sells, and what that means for you
He sells into the category he covers, and says so. The Claude Code Skills Stack is $99 one-time; the AI SEO System is $199 one-time, or $600 with a 60-minute session; he offers hourly consulting and a $1,500 a month coaching tier. He earns a commission on Rankability and describes himself as the consultant behind Blotato's SEO, so treat mentions of either as coming from someone with a stake. His revenue and citation figures are self-reported from his own dashboards. None of this changes the value of the audit above; it does mean his personal picks deserve the same scrutiny he applies to everyone else's.
Not for you if
You want a hands-on review of every tool in a category. He will tell you which ones he has not touched, which is the point, but it means his desk research is the product and the field testing is yours to do.
