Microsoft Designer

Microsoft Designer is an AI creative design tool integrated into the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, positioned as the accessible design layer for users who need professional-looking visual content without design skills or Adobe proficiency. Built on DALL-E image generation and Designer's own layout intelligence, it generates complete social media graphics, email headers, invitations, presentations, and marketing materials from brief text descriptions, with the AI handling composition, typography, and color without user direction. Designer's deep integration with Microsoft 365 makes it particularly practical in enterprise contexts: it accesses OneDrive images, pulls in SharePoint brand assets, and publishes directly to Teams, enabling employee communications teams to produce consistently branded content within the tools they already use.

The Generative Fill feature extends or replaces sections of images contextually, similar to Photoshop's generative tools. Designer is available free with a Microsoft account and included in Microsoft 365 subscriptions.
