Our Take
The GPT-5.6 tiering and the new Work mode push it further into actually doing tasks, not just drafting them, and the July price cuts make the cheaper Luna tier genuinely usable for high-volume agentic work. But once you know exactly what job you're doing, translation, video, code, a specialist tool almost always beats it at that specific task. Keep it as the first thing you open and the specialist as the second, not as a permanent substitute for either.
