Google Workspace Studio is Google's no-code automation and AI agent platform embedded within the Google Workspace ecosystem, enabling teams to build multi-step workflows that use Gemini AI to process, draft, summarize, and route work across Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, and connected third-party apps, without writing code. It functions as Google's answer to Zapier and Make within the Google ecosystem: create a flow that watches a Gmail label, extracts key information from the emails using Gemini, populates a Google Sheet with the extracted data, and sends a summary to a specific team member, all configured through a visual flow builder. The AI Agent capability lets teams build specialized assistants that can take actions across Workspace apps on user request: an onboarding agent that drafts welcome emails from a Google Sheet of new hires, a contract review agent that flags key terms in Drive documents, or a reporting agent that compiles data from Sheets and generates executive summaries in Docs.
Workspace Studio is available to Google Workspace Business and Enterprise subscribers through the Workspace admin console. Its strength is the native integration depth across Google applications, the same actions that require API configuration in third-party tools work natively within Workspace Studio with Workspace permission management already in place.
