Wispr Flow is an AI dictation tool for macOS and Windows that converts natural speech into formatted, edited text in any application, email clients, document editors, messaging apps, Notion, Linear, or any other text field, at the speed of speaking rather than typing. Its key technical distinction from basic dictation tools is the AI post-processing layer: raw speech is automatically edited for punctuation, capitalization, and sentence structure, filler words are removed, and tone can be adjusted from casual spoken delivery to polished written register, so the output reads as typed prose rather than verbatim transcribed speech. The application recognizes context from the application it's writing in, dictating in Gmail produces email-formatted text, dictating in a code editor handles technical terms and variable names differently than prose dictation.
